It Picks up fur on furniture, dog and cat beds, stairs , and clothing quite nicely. The best part is the self cleaning feature. You just insert it into the sleeve and Voila! The hair is gone , having been scraped down into the bottom catcher. Later you just dump the catcher into the garbage. What could be easier?  Ok...hiring Rise and Shine Cleaning could be easier!
