I have recently had the chance to check out the Fur Wizard at a client's home, and it really works!

It Picks up fur on furniture, dog and cat beds, stairs , and clothing quite nicely. The best part is the self cleaning feature.  You just insert it into the sleeve and Voila!  The hair is gone , having been scraped down into the bottom catcher.  Later you just dump the catcher into the garbage.  What could be easier?​

I tend to freak out a bit whenever I hear of people using Vinegar or Windex on their expensive stainless steel appliances to clean them.  Here is a guide to the proper care of your stainless steel appliances: Never use Vinegar. The acidic nature of Vinegar can damage the surface. Avoid using Windex  as the ammonia in Windex may also cause damage. Never use bleach as it may pit the surface.
Other products and chemicals to avoid are:

• Alcohol. 
• Mineral spirits.
• Cleaners containing chlorides(including iodine, bromine,chlorine, and fluorine.
• Avoid harsh scrub pads, steel wool and Comet.  These will scratch the surface.

The best way to clean the fridge is just with a damp cloth, (we use microfibre cloths). Dry the surface  with another soft cloth, and you are ready to polish. We use Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish to shine and protect the surface. To apply  have an old hand towel ready for buffing , we fold the towel for use. The trick is to buff up the polish very quickly after it is applied. Spray the appliance with the polish and quickly spread the product evenly over the appliance with one side of the folded towel. Then flip over the towel and buff the surface to an even shine.

For Rust Stains you may want to purchase a product called Innoshine Rust Remover B570 . Follow the directions and always rub with the grain of the metal. Available at Amazon.com

While we, at Rise and Shine Cleaning, cannot boast that we do this kind of Ninja Cleaning, we do get through you home fairly quickly.  Check out this chart showing how much time we usually need to clean your entire home. Bear in mind that this is calculated for regular weekly or bi-weekly cleaning, and based on the square footage of your home. Duties to include -clean the kitchen and bathrooms, dust , vacuum, mop floors, and clean patio door glass If you have pets living in the home and large amounts of shedding, more time may be needed.

Two ladies will arrive carrying many supplies.  If this is your very first cleaning day, the owner will be there as well, to field any questions they may have, and advise on problem areas of the home, such as septic systems and proper disposal of waste water containing detergents, outside.They will have a professional maid's caddy, mop, bucket, bag of clean folded cloths, tri-star vacuum and attachments, and any other necessary products specific to your home.
Once they are all inside, they will start timing themselves.  They know how much time is allotted and the start and finish time will be calculated.If you are home, they will greet you happily and then proceed to clean the bottoms of their shoes with Lysol Wipes in order to protect your home from any outside germs.

One lady will start vacuuming while the other lady begins wiping and dusting or cleaning the kitchen.  This will depend on the layout of your home and the best approach, as they will want to  avoid crowding each other.  The second girl may start vacuuming upstairs or at the other end of the house.
They will pass in the hall and the first lady will move on to cleaning the bathrooms.  When that is done she will continue wiping  and dusting as needed.The lady on vacuuming will do the mopping and having finished that, she will replace mats and help finish the dusting.By this time the mop, bucket, vacuum and other things will have been brought back to the entrance.  Both girls will finish up and if you are home, they will bid you good bye and take everything and leave.

If you are not home, they will set the alarm if needed, lock up and check the door to ensure that is has locked.  They will call in any problems they have encountered, such as leaking plumbing so that you can be notified immediately.  We have saved a few clients from potential disaster over the years.
